Christopher Butler is senior vice president/general manager – Power Quality Division, Asia Pacific. Eaton’s power quality business in Asia holds leading market share in China and is aggressively increasing its capabilities across the region. Today, Eaton’s portfolio is focused on a wide range of products and services including large scale UPS systems, like the flagship 9395 which is the industry standard for efficiency, online and offline UPS for single phase applications and an array of services and software to monitor your power system’s health. Headquartered in Shanghai, China, our business has manufacturing locations in India, China, Philippines and Taiwan, and a network of sales and service professionals in 16 countries across APAC. Chris has been living in Asia since 2010, and joined Eaton in 1997 as a Sales Engineer in Los Angeles, California. He has held a variety of roles in Eaton including global product line manager for Heinemann products, business operations manager for the Southwest Service Center, vice president of power distribution marketing APAC and vice president/general manager for Eaton’s circuit protection and controls business. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in industrial systems engineering from Virginia Tech. Eaton’s electrical business is a global leader with expertise in power distribution and circuit protection; backup power protection; control and automation; lighting and security; structural solutions and wiring devices; solutions for harsh and hazardous environments; and engineering services.
